The single terminal building features two levels, with Arrivals and Baggage Reclaim on the ground floor and Departures and ticketing overhead.
The airport covers 39 flight routes, with the majority to UK destinations and Europe, as well as two long haul flights to Canada. Departure gates for both domestic and international flights are located on the first floor.
The compact nature of the building means all amenities are easy to access. All the usual financial services such as currency exchange and ATMs are available in key areas, plus a good selection of shopping and dining facilities. Facilities for disabled passengers include ramps, lifts and specially designed toilets and telephones.
Money:
passengers wishing to purchase foreign currency can visit one of the bureau de change counters in the Baggage Reclaim hall, or on either side of security in Departures. An ATM can be found on the first floor of the terminal.
Shopping:
a selection of shops allows passengers to purchase last minute travel essentials such as newspapers, magazines, confectionary and gifts. The duty-free shop in the International Departures lounge stocks all the usual items such as electronics, perfumes and alcohol at tax-free prices.
Eating:
the airport boasts a good selection of eateries on the landside as well as in Departures. An extensive food court overlooks the airfield, and there is also a Food Village nearby. A Burger King provides a fast fix, while Café Ritazza airside offers a more intimate atmosphere.
Business:
Cardiff International Airport boasts a comprehensive executive suite, ideal for business travellers. Facilities include telephone, fax and photocopying, as well as satellite TV, wireless internet and complimentary refreshments.
